this time my project has a sociocritical background.
As you can see my picture bases upon the fresco 'Creation of Adam' by Michelangelo. First of all I have to say my intention is NOT to say you have to believe more in God or God is a robot. The picture has no religious intentions!
I just want to say this:
I think that our society is more and more focused on career, success, appreciation and abundance. Objects are symbolizing our affluence and people are not satisfied if they have not for example the latest iphone or ipad. They are addicted of having the latest and the best and climbing higher on the ladder of esteem. The people in the 16th century were very religious and anxious to please God, which is also an addiction. That is the reason why I replaced God's hand with the hand of a robot which symbolizes the todays addictions like internet, computer, cars and actual generally every machine.
I think the person in its character and as individual has taken a back seat and humanity trails away in a world of egoism. This picture express just my opinion that there is more than to be the best, the most affluent, the most famous or what else.
I would like to hear your opinions
And sorry for my bad english

I like the image and I like the message you want to give. Iīd probably used the old style with two organic hands and would just let one of them hand over an iPod, MP3 Player or whatever to the other one. That would also ridicule consumerism.
There are a lot of work s like yours available on pages of transhumanists, who want to make their whole body and if possible, also their mind modular and replaceable like a consumer good. (not all of them, but most of them have a very simple understanding of identity and society)
Itīs senseless and harmful to want to stop technological process, but itīs also harmful to define oneself only after what you own, instead of what you do. How do we position us towards ourselves and how do we position us towards others.
"Itīs senseless and harmful to want to stop technological process, but itīs also harmful to define oneself only after what you own, instead of what you do." You are completely right; that is what I mean. Of course technology has also many positive aspects for example its relevance in modern medical care!
Great job
thanks for the comment
